Clifton's historic homes

Clifton

Clifton is village-like community that was once home to Cincinnati’s social elite. Incorporated in 1850, its fabled gaslights and historic homes and mansions give this community its unique charm. Accented by one-of-a-kind shops, trendy restaurants and the city’s only surviving art theatre, Clifton’s business district on Ludlow Avenue is both historic and cosmopolitan. Clifton’s housing stock is primarily stone and frame houses and multi-unit structures. Clifton has a population of 8,579 people, consisting of a solid mix of families, professionals, educators, students, and artists.
